There’s something undeniably sensual about indulging in fresh seafood. It demands to be eaten by hand; cupping the oysters shell as you sip its brine, peeling a prawn to be eaten straight away, cracking a crab leg to get to its juicy insides. It is a truly tactile joy.

Coupled with an actual waterside location, does it get any better? The salty breeze, the dappled water, that soothing sound. it’s the perfect harmony of nature and indulgence.

Sydney truly is a haven for seafood lovers. I love the chaotic fish market (although I prefer to collect my treasures and then feast in the adjacent park) as well as the dozens of truly world class waterfront restaurants, from 'cheap and cheerful' to Michelin star heights, every bite tells a story of the ocean. Fresh seafood in Sydney is not just a meal—it's an experience. And in the right company, it's pure magic.
